Brian Vossler

President & CEO

Brian Vossler has worked in pharmacy related technology for over twenty five years with a focus on Sales, Marketing and Business Development. He has worked for startups as well as Fortune 50 companies where he has gained expertise delivering electronic clinical reference information, point of care decision support tools, automated medication and supply management systems, robotic drug dispensing equipment, and retail pharmacy management software systems. At every stop along the way he has continuously ranked as a top producer which has elevated him to the management team of each organization. He has held the positions of Director of Sales, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Area Vice President, Executive Vice President and now President and CEO. Upon arriving at DataRx, Brian was challenged with developing their pharmacy claims adjudication business as well as supporting a viable pharmacy switch processing business. As a result of his market identification, business development, and sales effort, DataRx has increased revenue by 500%.

Daniel D. Vela, R.Ph.

Chairman of the Board

Daniel D. Vela obtained his pharmacy degree from the University of Texas College of Pharmacy in 1979. He is a former member Board of Directors Legends Pharmacy Southwest, a former Director of the Texas Pharmacy Association, and a former member and Chairman University of Texas College of Pharmacy Development Board. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Rio Bank McAllen, Texas, and a member of the Board of Trustees of the McAllen Independent School District. He has been an owner of independent pharmacies since 1981. He is has been a member of the Data Rx Board of Directors for several years and is currently its Chairman.

Jeff Lurey, R.Ph.


Jeff Lurey resides in Atlanta, GA. He graduated from the University of Georgia in 1970. He is currently Director of Georgia Pharmacy Association's Academy Independent Pharmacy. He has served as President on the Georgia State Board of Pharmacy, on numerous committees for the National Association of the Boards of Pharmacy (NABP), and as President and Chairman of the Board for the Georgia Pharmacy Association. He has received numerous leadership awards, including the NARD Pharmacy Leadership Award, the Merck Sharpe & Dohme Leadership Award, and the Wyeth Laboratories Bowl of Hygea Award. He has served on the Data Rx Management, Inc. Board of Directors since 2002.

Mike Pemberton R.Ph.

Recording Secretary

Mike Pemberton is a 1970 graduate of The University of Houston with a BS in Pharmacy. He and his wife Jeannie purchased Louis Morgan Drug #1 in 1975, a community pharmacy in Longview, where he still serves as its President and Pharmacist-in-Charge. He has also been a director and vice-chairman of the Academy of Independent Pharmacies of the Texas Pharmaceutical Association and is past-president of the East Texas Pharmacy Association. He has been a member of and served as an advisor on many pharmacy group boards throughout his career, always with the goal of promoting the profession of Independent Pharmacy. He has served as a director on the board of Data Rx for several years and serves on its nominating committee and as the recording secretary for the board.

Ron Chaney, R.Ph.

Lynn Everett, R.Ph.

Board Member

Lynn Everett has served on the Board of Directors of Data Rx since May of 2009, and he is the chair of the nominating committee. He has owned Lynn's La Vega Pharmacy in Waco for over 30 years. He is also a long time board member of American Pharmacies, Inc. (APRx), and a long time member of NCPA. He received his Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Texas in 1970.

Eric Froistad

Board Member

Eric Froistad resides in Marietta, Georgia. He has been a Partner at TechCXO, LLC, for 5 years. His past experience includes: CFO, TSYS Loyalty, 7 years; CFO, Alignis, 5 years; VP-Finance, New World Communications Group, 7 years; Senior Audit Manager, Arthur Andersen & Co, 9 years. He obtained his BA in Accounting from the University of Colorado in 1979 and his CPA license in Colorado in 1980. He has served on the Data Rx Board of Directors since early 2012. He has been serving as a consultant to Data Rx since 2011, providing support to staff as it upgrades its financial management systems and providing support to the board of directors in financial matters.

W. Benjamin Fry, R.Ph.

Board Member

W. Benjamin Fry is currently the owner of Fry's Prescription Pharmacy in his hometown of San Benito, Texas, and Small Fry's, a pediatric pharmacy in Harlingen, Texas. Mr. Fry previously owned two other pharmacies in Harlingen. Mr. Fry received his Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from University of Houston in 1972, where he serves on the Dean's Advisory Council. He is one of 18 original Fellows of the International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists and a charter member of the Mading Society of University of Houston. He was named "Best Pharmacist" by the Valley Morning Star for the past two years. His professional memberships include the Texas Pharmacy Association. He has served on the San Benito School Board, and he is vice-president of the San Benito Industrial Foundation.

Norman D. Geddes, Ph.D.

Board Member

Dr. Geddes is a visionary architect for complex systems. He joined the board of Data Rx with unanimous approval in January of this year. In addition to his board service, he provides consulting services to Data Rx, and he has been instrumental in guiding the efforts to upgrade Data Rx's IT systems and navigating its IT challenges to support the company's growth. Dr. Geddes has founded and led companies in the field of large, complex software systems as well as worked for employers such as General Electric and NASA where he received the 2005 NASA National Group Achievement Award. His specialties include systems engineering of large complex software systems; real-time artificial intelligence algorithms; human-computer interaction; human decision systems; test and evaluation of complex systems; military air, ground and sea operations; and electronics manufacturing and supply chain management. Dr. Geddes obtained his Ph.D. at Georgia Tech in Systems Engineering, his MS at West Florida in Aeronautical Systems, and his BS at Rice in Physics.

Nicky Otts, R.Ph.

Board Member

Nicky Otts earned his BS in Pharmacy from Southwestern Oklahoma State University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He is licensed to practice in Texas and Colorado. Nicky has been recognized as Texas Pharmaceutical Association Employer of the Year. He founded ReCept, the largest Texas based chain of specialty pharmacies in 1978. Nicky serves as a consultant to ReCept and is a member of its' Board of Directors. He also serves on the Board of Sands in Burkina, a non-profit that helps orphans and provides clean water, in West Africa. He is a board member of the Texas Federation of Drug Stores and the Board of Directors at Data-Rx Management, Inc.
